Turkey sells 10-year lira bonds at 11.24 percent

Turkey’s Treasury sold a net 947 million Turkish Liras ($631 million) of 10-year lira bonds, the longest maturity fixed-rate debt in the country’s history, at a compounded yield of 11.24 percent. The Treasury in Ankara got 1.88 billion liras of bids for the bonds in Tuesday’s auction.
Meanwhile, Hungary revealed its plans to offer higher yields than lower-rated Turkey to lure investors to its first sale of dollar-denominated bonds in five years, according to a person with knowledge of the transaction.
