Using 'Planet Visibilty' from Acyclone Software to determine the location of the sun on 9-11-01 and Google Earth to determine, by visually comparing Google Earth 3D imagery to stills from the BBC report, the location of the camera and reporter, I have proposed with a reasonable level of accuracy, the following:
The reporter was likely on the 18th Floor of the Soho Grand Hotel, 6th Avenue and Grand Street (40° 43' 17" N --74° 00' 20" W), approximately 4100 feet from WTC7, with the camera trained to the South-Southwest,an azimuth of approximately 190°. At 17:00 local time (5:00PM), on September 11, 2001, the sun was 13.1° above the horizon at an azimuth of 265°, or 5° South off of due West. Sunset on that day was just after 6:08 PM, with the sun at a 276° azimuth and 0.3° above the horizon. From the angle of the light and shadows in the video, it would appear that the BBC reporter was indeed reporting about the collapse of WTC7 very near 5 PM EST BEFORE it happened.
