Quantitatively, the AIRS temporal trends over 2003–2021 in spectrally-resolved OLR are statistically significantly negative in the CO₂ (560–800 cm⁻¹) and CH₄ and N₂O bands (1,200–1,400 cm⁻¹), while positive in the rotational band of water vapor (far-infrared (FIR); 10–560 cm⁻¹) and the window band (Figure [Links nur für registrierte Nutzer]). In particular, there has been a deepening and widening of the CO₂ band.
