Insgesamt scheint die Situation in Aleppo besser zu sein, als es in den westlichen Medien behauptet wird. Ein Press TV Reporter hält sich momentan in Aleppo auf. Die Ratten scheinen nicht wirklich ganze Stadtviertel zu kontrollieren. Es werden vielmehr sogenannte Hit'n and Run Taktiken angewendet. Zudem hat die syrische Armee in den letzten 2 Tagen die gesamte Kommunikation in Aleppo lahmgelegt um die Koordination der Ratten zu stören. Mittlerweile wurde die Kommunikation wieder freigegeben:

Mensch, dass sind doch mal gute Nachrichten. Seit Annan hingeworfen hat, gibt es auch keinen Grund mehr, auf einen Verhandlungsweg zu hoffen und kann endlich zulangen.

Auch die Bevölkerung Aleppos wehrt sich mittlerweile erfolgreich gegen die Rattenplage.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry expressed regret over the resignation and said the country is still committed to the six-point peace plan negotiated by Annan.
On Friday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said Annan’s resignation paves the way for a military intervention in Syria.
"Annan is an honest international mediator, but someone wants to push him out of the game in order to open the gates for military actions. This is obvious," Gatilov added.
On Friday, the UN General Assembly passed a non-binding resolution condemning the UN Security Council for failing to agree on measures to end the unrest in Syria.
Russia said it would not support the resolution because it is unbalanced and encourages insurgents to keep fighting.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011. Damascus says outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorists are the driving factor behind the unrest and deadly violence while the opposition accuses the security forces of being behind the killings.
Western states have been calling for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to step down. However, Russia and China are strongly opposed to the Western drive to oust Assad.
The Syrian government says that the chaos is being orchestrated from outside the country, and there are reports that a very large number of the armed militants are foreign nationals, mostly from Egypt, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan.

Die Richtlinien der Aussenpolitik werden im Iran vom Führer des Landes bestimmt, der den Aussenminister selber bestimmt. Herr Salehi hat die wichtigsten Köpfe der syrischen Opposition nach Teheran eingeladen, jedoch haben sie zunächst abgesagt. Das Treffen wird aber stattfinden, denn beide Seiten versprechen sich Vorteile von einer Annäherung. Es ist kaum anzunehmen, dass Salehi so etwas ohne direkte Weisung von Chamenei tun würde. Ausserdem ist der Propaganda-Sender Press TV im Iran selbst gar nicht zu empfangen und das aus gutem Grund.
