Naja wenigstens scheint es der unabhängigen Reporterin Lizzie Phelan gut zu gehen. Sie ist sicher im Vereinigten Königreich gelandet und wird auch hoffentlich bald von ihren Erlebnissen erzählen:

Ich weiß jetzt nicht, ob ich mich ungeschickt ausgedrückt habe, daher wiederhole ich mich mit zwei Sätzen:
@DerGelehrte kritisiert die kurzsichtige Politik der USA. Meine Antwort: Wenn sich die "Fehler" wie diese "Kurzsichtigkeit" und die "falschen Verbündeten" häufen, sollte man auch die Möglichkeit in Erwägung ziehen, daß es genau so gewollt ist.
Ich hoffe, so war es besser, denn ich wollte nicht den Gelehrten angreifen und seinen Beitrag auch nicht.

Bei der Beurteilung der Politik von USA und Westmächten tut man gut daran, zu beherzigen, was der größte Amerikaner und größte Demokrat aller Zeiten gesagt hat:

Large countries have inter-connected interests in small countries and use their right of Veto, the Security Council and the power of the United Nations to defend their interests.
In this way, they terrorize the world. That world is now threatened because some consider themselves, with no apparent reason - the rulers of life and death.

Each state and each individual can be exposed to this aggression.
How can we ignore this disaster?
