Senior Hamas Official Mohammad Nazzal: Hamas Will Never Surrender Its Weapons, Hamas Leaders Will Not Leave Gaza – If Netanyahu Decides Not to Leave the Gaza Strip, Hamas Will Come and Drive Him Out
#12318 | 02:10
Source: Al-Mashhad TV (UAE)
Mohammad Nazzal, a member of Hamas’s political bureau, told Al-Mashhad TV (UAE) on October 10, 2025, that Hamas will never surrender its weapons, adding that this is “non-negotiable.” He said that Hamas leaders will not leave Gaza and that their slogan is “victory or martyrdom.” The interviewer noted that Netanyahu had agreed to withdraw from Gaza only if Hamas were disarmed, which would leave part of Gaza occupied. Nazzal responded that Israelis who pin their hopes on Hamas and its leaders leaving Gaza are deluding themselves, and that Hamas leaders will remain on their land and continue to fight the occupation. He concluded: “If Netanyahu decides not to leave [the Gaza Strip], I think that the resistance will come back to drive him out.”

Hamas Leaders Struggle to Explain Why October 7 Was Worthwhile – Musa Abu Marzouk: The Measures Taken by Liberation Movements Are Always Right, Even When the Results Are Not; Osama Hamdan: Perhaps This Was Not a Decisive Victory, but We are Closer Next Time Around; Mohammad Nazzal: Answering This Is Pointless after Two Years of War

Hamas officials struggled to answer whether October 7 was worth it on various Arab TV channels on October 9 and 10, 2025. When Mohammad Nazzal was asked by Al-Mashhad TV (UAE) about the attack in light of its human cost, he said that two years have passed, so there is little point in answering. He added that Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Holland, and Britain would not have “rebelled” against the Zionist enterprise if it were not for October 7.
Osama Hamdan, asked by Al-Jazeera Network (Qatar) about the gains from October 7, said that prior to the attack, the Palestinian cause was “falling into oblivion,” while now over 150 countries recognize the State of Palestine. He added that Palestinians are closer to a decisive victory than ever before and are now qualified to achieve victory in a future round.
Musa Abu Marzouk, on Alghad TV (Egypt-UAE), said that Hamas was surprised by everything that followed the October 7 attack, noting that no one had anticipated such “crimes and violations of international norms.” He added that there will be a reassessment of October 7, but not while the battle is ongoing, explaining that “the measures taken by all the liberation movements are always right, but the results might not be right,” which depends on the balance of power. Abu Marzouk rebuked the Alghad journalist for asking whether the October 7 Al-Aqsa Flood attack was intended to bring liberation, saying: “Please keep your questions dignified,” and demanded that the interview be shut down.
When Al-Jazeera asked what he had expected Israel’s response to October 7 to be, Abu Marzouk said that the Israeli army had always claimed to be the most moral army, and it had never been as “barbaric” as in this war. He added that October 7 did not justify Israel’s response, because people under occupation have the “natural right” to fight against occupation. Abu Marzouk said that Hamas leaders have not discussed whether they regret the October 7 attack or the “genocidal war” that ensued, calling the question “out of line” while the war is ongoing.
