Dem IPCC zufolge wird der Klimawandel die Wüstenbildung in Trockengebieten verschlimmern.
Der Doktrin zufolge werden steigende Temperaturen, erhöhte Verdunstung und geringere Niederschläge die Bodendegradation verstärken, was sich wiederum negativ auf Millionen von Menschen auswirken wird, insbesondere in Regionen wie Asien und Afrika.
Die Wüstenbildung wird die Gesundheit der Ökosysteme beeinträchtigen, die landwirtschaftliche Produktivität verringern und zum Verlust der biologischen Vielfalt führen, so die Behauptung.
Ein Blick auf die Realität zeigt jedoch das Gegenteil – der Planet ergrünt aufgrund des erhöhten CO₂-Gehalts in der Atmosphäre. In Südostaustralien zum Beispiel sind die Wälder gewachsen, ein Muster, das auch in der Sahelzone, Westindien, Nordchina und im südlichen Afrika zu beobachten ist – um nur vier weitere Regionen zu nennen (e360.yale.edu).
Die Hauptursache ist der Anstieg des CO₂ in der Atmosphäre, der die Photosynthese fördert und den Pflanzen eine effizientere Wassernutzung ermöglicht. Dieser CO₂-Düngeeffekt fördert das Wachstum der Vegetation selbst in trockenen Regionen. Studien deuten darauf hin, dass sich dieser Trend zur Begrünung mit steigendem CO₂-Gehalt fortsetzen wird, was die Gesundheit der Ökosysteme verbessert, die landwirtschaftliche Produktivität steigert und die Artenvielfalt erhöht – das genaue Gegenteil der Behauptungen des IPCC.
Anstelle der versprochenen Wüstenbildung wächst die Vegetation in den Trockengebieten, die etwa 40 % der Landfläche der Erde bedecken und in denen ein Drittel der Weltbevölkerung lebt. Die überwiegende Mehrheit der trockenen Regionen der Erde ergrünt.
Die Prophezeiungen der AGW-Partei haben sich als völlig falsch erwiesen. Deshalb haben sie die Formulierung in ihren EOTW-Broschüren aktualisiert:
„Ja, die Welt ergrünt“, geben sie nun zu, „allerdings kann die zunehmende Vegetation die knappen Wasserressourcen erschöpfen und die einheimischen Wüstenökosysteme stören. Invasive Arten können auch einheimische Pflanzen verdrängen, was zu ökologischen Verschiebungen führt“.
Diese so genannten „Akademiker“, die diese neuesten Argumente vorbringen, sind bestenfalls eine Beleidigung für die Wissenschaft und schlimmstenfalls rückgratlose Schwindler.

But below that, Ball’s graph, using more reliable and widely available public data, shows a much warmer MWP, with temperatures hotter than today, and showing current temperatures well within natural variation.
The perpetrator of the biggest criminal “assault on science” has now become clear: Dr Mann, utterly damned by his contempt of the court order to show his dodgy data.
There can be little doubt that upon the BC Supreme Court ruling that Mann did commit data fraud, over in Washington DC, the EPA’s Scott Pruitt will feel intense pressure from skeptics to initiate a full investigation into Mann, his university and all those conspiring to perpetuate a trillion-dollar carbon tax-raising sting on taxpayers.

It was said that a reference in the emails to “Mike’s Nature Trick” referred to the practice of using the most convenient proxy or temperature measurements to fit the desired narrative. The emails showed how competing climate claims were kept out of science journals and requests for information about the methodology these activists were using were denied. At the time, Professor Jerome Ravetz of Oxford University noted that within two months the East Anglian scientists and the IPCC “were discredited”. Even if only a fraction of their scientific claims were eventually refuted, added Ravetz, “their credibility as trustworthy scientists was lost”. Even George Monbiot in the Guardian was appalled, noting that pretending the climate email leak wasn’t a crisis wouldn’t make it go away.

Kennt jemand eine Publikation, die die Strahlungs-Emissionen der Treibhausgase berücksichtigt und trotzdem zu dem Schluss kommt,
dass die Erhöhung der Konzentrationen der strahlungsgesättigten CO2- und/oder H2O-Gase nicht zu einer Verminderung der Erderwärmung führen würde?
