Laut der NTC-Rattenzeitung Libyan Herald sollen sich bereits mehrere hundert NTC-Rattenkämpfer aus Misrata auf dem Weg nach Bani Walid befinden....

Several hundred Misrata brigadesmen intent on moving into Bani Walid to liberate the journalists are now camped along with heavy artillery at Bir Dufan, about halfway to Bani Walid.

Last night leaders in Misrata rejected a demand from Bani Walid that 120 of the latter’s men be released as the price of freeing the journalists. Most of them were captured last year by Misratan forces. The demand was brought by a group of mediators from the Banu Yusuf tribe when they returned to Misrata earlier in the evening.

“Even the families of the two men have said the Bani Walid’s demand’s must be refused, even if it means the sacrifice of their sons,” said Tahir Zaroug, another TV journalist from Misrata. “They say that the captured men are criminals who must be punished, not released.”

In an assault on Libyan unity, Bani Walid’s military leaders this morning said that the two journalists had gone to the town without permission and would have to be put on trial as a result.

Ich bezweifle, dass es sich hierbei wirklich um "Journalisten" handelt. Die Sache könnte auch mit den Kongresswahlen zusammenhängen.

Die Vertreter von Bani Walid haben ja auch gesagt, dass die beiden "Journalisten" ohne Erlaubnis in die Stadt eingedrungen sind. Möglicherweise Spione. Jedenfalls scheint sich da was größeres anzubahnen. Naja erinnern wir uns an 2011. Die Ratten aus Misrata wurden mehr als 5 mal zurückgeschlagen und das mit NATO Luftunterstützung. Erst als die libyschen Truppen die Stadt aus Munitionsmangel aufgegeben haben war es ihnen möglich die Stadt ohne Gegenwehr zu nehmen... Wenn sich da ein ordentlicher Widerstand in Bani Walid formiert, dann werden sich die Misrataratten eine blutige Nase holen.

Weißt Du, ob die Gaddafianer außer Bani Walid noch weitere Orte halten?

Die Lage scheint sich zuzuspitzen. Laut LibyaHerald sollen es mittlerweile über 1000 Ratten sein, welche Bani Walid morgen früh angreifen wollen. Eine friedliche Einigung konnte wohl nicht erzielt werden. Die derzeitige Rattenarmee soll sich momentan in der Nähe von Bir Dufan aufhalten. Bir Dufan liegt üngefähr 50km nordöstlich von Bani Walid.Interessant ist ja auch der westliche Medienblackout über die derzeitige Situation.....

This is seen as a rebuttal of claims in Bani Walid that the two journalists were spies from Misrata sent to take pictures of the place in preparation for an attack. Bani Walid military leaders have said that neither Baadi not Fusuq had permission to enter the town and should consequently be put in trial.

Referring to Bani Walid’s demand that 120 of its men held in Misrata be handed over in return for freeing the two, the statement said that an exchange was against the law and there could be no comparison between the case of two Libyans doing their legitimate work and that of prisoners of war. It added that the latter were not in Misrata’s possession but in the hands of the Ministry of Justice.

A heavily armed Misratan force said to be over a thousand-strong is camped at Bir Dufan, halfway between Misrata and Bani Walid. It is reported that others from elsewhere in Libya have been joining it.

Earlier Prime Minister Abdurrahim Al-Kib called for Bani Walid to hand over the two by Thursday. Fighting is expected if the deadline is not met.

Meanwhile, women in Misrata plan a demonstration tomorrow afternoon in support of the two journalists. The protest is scheduled to take place outside the Martyrs’ Hall in the city’s main square at 5 p.m..

Städte werden wohl nicht direkt von den Grünen gehalten. Viele Loyalisten sollen sich wohl in der Wüste versteckt halten oder in kleinen Gruppen operieren und immer wieder Checkpoints oder ranghohe Ratten attackieren.Zudem scheint wohl ein Großteil in die benachbarten Länder geflohen zu sein. Laut Rattenmedien sollen es knapp 500 000 Libyer sein, die ihre Heimat aufgegeben haben. Bis heute weiß man übrigens nicht, was mit den ca.800 grünen Verteidigern von Bani Walid geschehen ist, nachdem diese die Stadt aufgrund von Munitionsmangel aufgegeben haben und in die Wüste gezogen sind.....

Wer glaubt, Bani Walid sei in der Hand der Loyalisten, irrt sich. Dort herrscht ein Warlord, der schon mal versuchte gegen Gaddafi zu putschen:
