In den Medien war davon relativ wenig zu hören und sehen. Dafür wurde umso mehr über die Ehe von Guido gesprochen. Ist ja auch so viel wichtiger.

Komisch, im Wall Street Journal wird recht viel davon berichtet. Aber Irland ist in dieser Hinsicht nicht unbedingt allein.

BRUSSELS, Nov 12 (Reuters) - Ireland is in talks about tapping emergency funds from the European Financial Stability Facility and it is very likely that it will get a funding programme, euro zone sources said on Friday.
'Talks are ongoing and European Financial Stability Facility money will be used, there will be no haircuts or restructuring or anything of the kind,' one euro zone source said."

Schweizer Franken ist imho auch eine Überlegung wert.
Die Schweiz ist zwar durch ihre Exporte von den Euro-Ländern abhängig aber wenn der Euro ins wanken gerät, werden viele Zuflucht in der Schweiz suchen. Langfristig ist imho Parity im Eur/CHF aufjedenfall das Ziel. Ich habe vor 2 Jahren eine 5-stellige Summe als langfristige Anlage getauscht und bis jetzt noch keine Nacht deswegen schlecht geschlafen.
So, jetzt dürfen wir auch noch die Iren aushalten... :D

lege es sofort in Stopftabak an, denn der wird im nächsten Jahr teurer als die fertigen Zigaretten; prozentual wird die Tabaksteuer bei dem Tabak stärker erhöht als bei den Zigaretten. .:)

This is what happens when you in constant denial of a problem. It gets on top of you. The FT reports this morning that corporate customers have been pulling out their deposits from Irish banks, amid signs of fading confidence in the banking system. Irish Life & Permanent said corporate customers had withdrawn €600m, more than 11% of total deposits, during August and September. The FT report says there is evidence that another deposit crunch is happening right now, as confidence faded that the Irish banking sector is able to fund itself if, and when the ECB scales backs its emergency funding. But even the ECB funding had not been sufficient as Irish central bank had to provide €20bn in exceptional liquidity assistance outside the ECB programme.

Frau Merkel, bitte die Garantie-Bürgschaft für Irland sofort unterschreiben, denn es ist eilig, (wie für Griechenland damals auch) sonst sind 138 Millarden futsch - aber das sind sie sowieso.
