West Midlands Police, it will be remembered, was the force responsible for stopping a BNP election campaign vehicle a few years back – an Asian officer threatening the occupants with arrest for “racism” for daring to play “Land of Hope and Glory” in public. It is also the force whose officers, in full public view, vandalised a candlelight pavement memorial to the very many white victims of ethnic violence. More recently, one of its Asian officers was reported in the media as ordering two Christian missionaries out of the Alum Rock district of Birmingham – telling them that it was a “Muslim area” and they should not be there!
