Nachdem es in Dänemark wieder zu Morddrohungen kam, will nun kein Schriftsteller mehr an islamkritischen Büchern mitarbeiten. Die Schriftstellergewerkschaft sagte, daß damit die Demokratie gefährdet sei:
Danish artists scared of Islam
16. sep. 2005 11.31 English
Since the murder of the Islam critical Dutch film director Theo van Gogh, and the violent attack on a lecturer at the Danish Carsten Niebuhr Institute, Danish artists are fearful of criticising Islam.
Author, Kåre Bluitgen, is due to publish a book on the profit Mohammed in two weeks time, but so far no one has agreed to illustrated the work through fear of reprisals from Islamic extremists.
According to the author, three artists have turned down an offer to illustrate the book based on their fear of being attacked if they do so.
The president of the Danish Writers Union, Frants Iver Gundelach, said that it is a gross attack on freedom of speech, and the issue will be taken up at the next union meeting.

Pastors ordered to apologise
June 22, 2005
TWO Christian pastors found guilty of vilifying Muslims have been ordered to apologise for the comments they made.
Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) deputy president Michael Higgins ordered two pastors of the Evangelical Order Catch the Fire Ministry to apologise over statements made in a speech, comments on a website and in a newsletter.
The comments included that Muslims were training to take over Australia, encouraged domestic violence and that Islam was an inherently violent religion.
The Islamic Council of Victoria complained to VCAT that the comments breached the Victorian Government's Racial and Religious Tolerance Act and in December last year the tribunal found that they had breached the legislation.
Judge Higgins today ordered that a statement be published on the Catch the Fire website, in its newsletter and in two metropolitan newspapers
Outside the tribunal, one of the pastors who was taken to VCAT by the Islamic Council, Danny Nalliah, described himself as a martyr for free speech and said he would go to jail before apologising.
"Right from the inception, we have said that this law is a foul law, this law is not a law which brings unity," Pastor Nalliah said.
"It causes disunity and as far as we are concerned right from the beginning we have stated we will not apologise. We will go to prison for standing for the truth and not sacrifice our freedom and freedom to speak."
So kann man eine Demokratie ganz schnell kaputt machen. Was passiert eigentlich, wenn die mal 20 oder 30% der Bevölkerung stellen (in Holland so in 10 Jahren).
